Teak Wood
Teak is a type of hardwood known for its durability, beauty, and natural resistance to various environmental elements. Our teak timber comes from the Tectona grandis tree, which is harvested from Teak plantation in Java island, Indonesia. Teak is known for its exceptional durability and longevity. It has a relatively low shrinkage rate, less likely to warp, crack, or split. These combination of natural resistance, longevity, and aesthetic appeal make it a popular choice for high-quality, long-lasting furniture pieces.
Finishes
Treatment : Fine sanding
We apply multiple sanding treatments to furniture wood surface. Starting from 180-200 grit to remove visible roughness or imperfections of the wood surface, and progressively apply finer grits until the wood has a beautifully smooth surface
Color : Dark candy woodstain
We apply a sanding sealer to our furniture before painting or staining the wood surface. The purpose is to fill and seal the pores of the wood, creating a smoother and more even surface, allowing for a smoother final finish, and prevent moisture absorption.
Clear coat : Satin
Also called egg-shel this type of clear coat provides a silky smooth finish retains its pearl-like sheen when dry, reflects more light than matte and stands up well to washing

Stepped edging top solid wood bedside
A simple minimalist bedside cabinet stepped edging plain solid wood top handcrafted of teak wood. Sturdy corner structures ended with shallow tapered legs on the floor. The bedside features a small drawer and a compartment enclosed by a door.
The bedside employ barrier on the top leaf edge, stepped up from left front to left back, straight to right back, stepped down to right front. This edging system prevent something falling from the bedside top.
The top leaf projected out on the left, right, and front sides. It fixed onto the bedside top rails using wooden clips and screws to allow solid wood movement.
Storages
A plain drawers under the edging top leaf assembled with dovetail joinery solid wood board floating base. The drawer employ wooden runners on the side rails to easing the movement. A solid brass ring plate pulls fixed on the drawer front side.
The compartment under the drawer enclosed by a flat door fixed to the bedside structure using brass hinges. A solid brass ring plate fixed on the middle of the door for a handle when opening or closing it.
The bedside stand on the floor with four shallow tapered legs, employ a plastic foot protector to prevent the wood scratches your floor.
Our builder handcrafted the bedside from harvested teak wood using traditional furniture construction and joinery. No cross grain locking, any of our joinery method allow the solid wood movement while it contracting and extracting according to seasons and humidity.
