Beautiful classic french furniture reproduced in Indonesia using mahogany solid wood. Made according to the original piece, the armoire has a bonnet top with crown molding decoration. Handmade with traditional furniture construction and joinery, decorated with elaborate flower carving front apron and doors.
The bonnet top armoire also known as hooded top cupboard comes with unbroken arch shape top, like a hood or bonnet covered the piece.The top edges decorated with an elaborate wood carving crown molding.
The front top rail decorated with foliage carving protrude out from a flower basket carving on center, it highlighted with bead molding edges.
Flower carving doors
The armoire feature a compartment with 2 solid wood shelves, enclosed by two doors on the front side. The door assembled of raised panels inserted inside elaborate carving frame. Each of them employ double hinges system to allow opening the door into 270 degrees.
The central rail of the door frame decorated with elaborate whimsical and foliage wood carving. The doors fitted to the armoire using solid brass hinges, small hinges on inner side and large hinges outer side. Antique carving brass lock accented the doors at on the central stiles.
Raised panel sides
The armoire enclosed by raised panels on the left an right side. Solid wood boards floating inside the structures, embellished with molding edges. The back side enclosed by flat panel inside plain frame fastened to the back stiles using screws.
Four legs with scrolling fee support the armoire connected by plain rails. The bottom edge of the rails decorated with bead molding edge, waving down to the leg and scrolling on the foot.
