Reclaimed Wood
Our reclaimed teak id salvaged and repurposed from old houses, boats, bridges, and other structures that are being dismantled or renovated. It is supports environmental conservation by reducing deforestation and the impact on natural habitats. Salvaged properly, cleaned and treated to remove any potential contaminants or pests. The availability of reclaimed teak can vary, and it more expensive than other types of wood due to its quality and unique characteristics.
Finishes
Treatment : Fine sanding
We apply multiple sanding treatments to furniture wood surface. Starting from 180-200 grit to remove visible roughness or imperfections of the wood surface, and progressively apply finer grits until the wood has a beautifully smooth surface
Color : Walnut woodstain
We apply a sanding sealer to our furniture before painting or staining the wood surface. The purpose is to fill and seal the pores of the wood, creating a smoother and more even surface, allowing for a smoother final finish, and prevent moisture absorption.
Clear coat : Matte
Provides a permanent, non-gloss finish which protects the color and wood surface. These finishes deliver a smooth, subtle look and show little to no sheen when dry since it prevents the full passage of light. Causing it to reflect in various directions and reducing the sheen and the reflected light.

Mid Century Dresser
Made of reclaimed wood from demolished old house, the Mangus dresser is a true eco friendly furniture piece. Solid wood top leaf 4 cm thick, fastened to the top aprons using tongue and groove wooden block to allow the wood movement on extracting and shrinking. Six drawers in 2 column, 2 drawers in a row, dovetailed joints, 2 wooden knob pulls at the front of each drawer. The drawer using soft closing drawer runner, modern tandem at the bottom of each drawer.
Plain left and right size, 3,5 cm planks glued with loose tongue joinery, tenon mortise joint to the top and bottom apron. Turned and tapered four legs, and stretchers horizontally connected four legs at the top. The back side of the dresser using solid wood floating panel fastened using screws .

The mangus dresser at the photo was finished with tea transparent wood stain. The piece is sanded using multiple grit of paper sand, sealed,and smooth sanded to protect the wood grains. Stained with brush, and top coated with nitrocellulose lacquer.
The photos at the gallery below shows the piece before and after we apply the finishes. The wood grains and several patches are shown to ensure the customer know exactly what the reclaimed wood is. Several nail holes and structures mortise holes are patched with the similar wood grains.
