Our reclaimed teak id salvaged and repurposed from old houses, boats, bridges, and other structures that are being dismantled or renovated. It is supports environmental conservation by reducing deforestation and the impact on natural habitats. Salvaged properly, cleaned and treated to remove any potential contaminants or pests. The availability of reclaimed teak can vary, and it more expensive than other types of wood due to its quality and unique characteristics.
Finishes
Treatment : Fine sanding
We apply multiple sanding treatments to furniture wood surface. Starting from 180-200 grit to remove visible roughness or imperfections of the wood surface, and progressively apply finer grits until the wood has a beautifully smooth surface
Color : Coffee brown woodstain
We apply a sanding sealer to our furniture before painting or staining the wood surface. The purpose is to fill and seal the pores of the wood, creating a smoother and more even surface, allowing for a smoother final finish, and prevent moisture absorption.
Clear coat : Satin
Also called egg-shel this type of clear coat provides a silky smooth finish retains its pearl-like sheen when dry, reflects more light than matte and stands up well to washing

Mid century style tv cabinet hand made of reclaimed teak wood from demolished old house. Solid wood top leaf 4 cm thick, loose tongue joint. 2 doors front left and right, open shelf and a drawer center. Dovetail joint drawer, wooden knob pulls, tandem runner. Plain doors with wooden knob handle, euro style concealed hinges.
Plain left and right size, 3,5 cm planks glued with loose tongue joinery, tenon mortise joint to the top and bottom apron. Turned and tapered four legs, and stretchers horizontally connected four legs at the top. The back side using solid wood panel 2 cm frame thick fastened to the top and bottom apron using screws .

The reclaimed wood furniture pieces need special treatment before it stained. The wood has to be brushed with steel to clean any hardened particles that coating the wood surface and enhanced the wood grains. The piece was sanded with several grit of sandpapers, and glazed to create antique impression. The current piece was stained with tea brown color, finished with matte nitrocellulose lacquer.
