Our teak timber comes from the Tectona grandis tree, which is harvested from Teak plantation in Java island, Indonesia. Teak is known for its exceptional durability and longevity. It has a relatively low shrinkage rate, less likely to warp, crack, or split. These combination of natural resistance, longevity, and aesthetic appeal make it a popular choice for high-quality, long-lasting furniture pieces.
Finishes
Treatment : Fine sanding
We apply multiple sanding treatments to furniture wood surface. Starting from 180-200 grit to remove visible roughness or imperfections of the wood surface, and progressively apply finer grits until the wood has a beautifully smooth surface
Color : Dark candy woodstain
We apply a sanding sealer to our furniture before painting or staining the wood surface. The purpose is to fill and seal the pores of the wood, creating a smoother and more even surface, allowing for a smoother final finish, and prevent moisture absorption.
Clear coat : Matte
Provides a permanent, non-gloss finish which protects the color and wood surface. These finishes deliver a smooth, subtle look and show little to no sheen when dry since it prevents the full passage of light. Causing it to reflect in various directions and reducing the sheen and the reflected light.

Handcrafted of plantation-harvested teak wood
We select the best grade teak wood from Indonesian government plantation to build the piece. It was weathered for 2-3 years in plantation before it felled down to ensure it dries naturally. Straight grains, uniform color, and minumum dead knot is a standard wood quality we use for our teak furniture.
Traditional wood furniture construction
Our builder handcrafted the diagon bookshelf using traditional wood furniture that has been tested in decades. We use tenon mortise for construction joinery combined with floating panels to prevent cracking and splitting in the future. All of our drawers assembled with the most reliable dovetail joint.
